What is a Justice Judge and what do they do?

Justice Court IS the people’s court. A person does not have to hire an attorney to file a case, nor to represent their interests as plaintiff or defendant. You can have your case heard in a timely matter, usually within 30 days. Most cases are not complex, but a Judge needs good legal experience, common sense, integrity and honesty to render a fair verdict. Although a Law Degree is not required to be a Justice Judge, Trey received his law degree from Mississippi College, and will use that vast courtroom experience to rule a just verdict.  After 8 years as a lawyer in countless cases, Trey gained valuable skills and judgment in a variety of cases, and this is the experience that Madison County needs to have making decisions in court. The Justice Court hears cases from the Sheriff's Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, Reservoir Patrol, Department of Wildlife, Natchez Trace Parkway, Alcohol Beverage Control and other agencies with crimes committed in Madison County.  More about the role of Justice Court Judge of Madison County Mississippi and why it is important that Trey O'Cain be elected to the District 1 Judge's Seat    more  >>>
